9th Congress of the European Registrars
“European data transit – the future begins today”
Slovak republic, Poprad, May 18th and 19th 2009

The European Registrars Association (EVS) brings together many of Registrar Associations from Belgium, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Great Brittain, Switzerland, Scotland, Slovenia and Slovakia. The main purpose of EVS is the continual synchronisation of legal rules particularly in the EU registrar field and also the know-how exchange in re of the valid legislatives in EU member states and the resolving of registrars´ problems as citizenship and residence permit for foreigner and their human rights, etc.

The Congresses were organised up to now in Poland, Italy, Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium and Slovenia. The consequent congress will be organised by Registrars Association in Slovakia.

The purpose of the congress meeting is to discuss about the, future registrar concept for EU citizens, because if the citizens want to realise registrar affairs or verification about their civil status they need a lot of documents to achieve these and the tendency is therefore to enable for clients to use only the identity card for registrar practices. The registrars’ task would be consequently to obtain appropriate documents and verification electronically.
